I have been playing guitar for over 35 years. I've been using Elixir strings for years. In the last year or so, I've been having issues with them not lasting near as long as they had been and breakage problems. I did the usual set up on my guitar, made sure the bridge and nut are properly cut, etc. So I decided to believe the hype and get these "unbreakable" Paradigm strings. About the same price as the Elixir's so I figured no big loss an bought a couple of sets. These things are a joke. Two gigs in on the first set, both the G and D strings start to separate over the soundhole. Yes, they are coming unwound. So I figured maybe it was just a bad set. Second set goes on and I have the same exact issue and this time the G breaks. Two string sets in 4 gigs. They didn't even last a week. DO NOT buy into the hype of these strings. In addition, after putting them on and stretching them, I notice my fingers are covered in a black substance. Never again with these. You're better off with Earthwoods. Much better off.
