Ernie Ball

Description

Ernie Ball Coated S.T.H.B. Slinky Electric Strings combine the latest technological advances in string manufacturing. All wound strings are treated with a micro-thin layer of enamel that prevents decay and corrosion up to five times more than uncoated sets. In addition to treating the wound strings, Ernie Ball has taken it a step further by reinforcing the plain strings with a patented winding of titanium wire.

Titanium's inherent strength prevents string breakage, string slippage, and is proven to keep your guitar strings in tune better than conventional plain strings. Ernie Ball Coated Slinky strings maintain the feel and sound of uncoated sets, combining the added protection with the vibrant tone Ernie Ball customers have relied on for over 50 years. Perfect for those who want to avoid string breakage.

These strings sound dull and lifeless. They sound like like regular strings that have been played WAY TOO LONG. Not crisp at all...they sound totally lifeless. I wanted to try them and save a little cash on a coated string...but I would not use these if they were free

  • I will be buying more of them.

These are probably some of the best strings I have ever used. They are a bit steep in price, but their quality is a lot more than it is worth. I have had for half a year and still look decent, and I play nearly every for 2 hours or more. Very nice strings!

i was very dissapointed by these strings. i have always used ernie ball and have always loved them. when i saw the coated version came out i went and bought them. i had heard such great things like they have double the life of non coated but my strings rusted in 3 weeks flat. then a string broke a week later. i am back to non coated ernie ball sthb. the first bad product i have ever bought from Ernie Ball. still a great company just not a great product

These strings are great! I had them on my guitar for at least 6 months and there was almost no rust on them when i changed them. The strings still had that new feeling on them. Not only that but they didn't break for all that time and I play real hard on my strings. They have a great sound and feel. It's really a great combination. You have the small high strings that are easy for bending and the bottom strings that are great for playing in drop D tuning. Ernie ball is outdoing themselves. If you are on a budget and need strings that will last you forever, or you just don't want to change strings and still have a great sound definately get these.
