The Ernie Ball P02250 Classic Pure Nickel Power Slinky electric guitar strings are a pillar of iconic rock tone. Ernie Ball pioneered the lighter string gauges that fueled the high-energy rock styles of the 1960s and beyond. These nickel-plated steel strings produce the warm, rich tone that shaped the sound of rock legends. The P02250 set offers light top/heavy bottom gauges perfect for rock and blues — .011, .014, .018, .028, .038, .048. Now musicians everywhere can experience the tone and performance that made Ernie Ball strings the choice of rock pioneers like Jimmy Page, Eric Clapton, and Angus Young.

Pure Nickel Wrap for a Vintage Rock Sound

The P02250 strings are wrapped in pure nickel wire, which gives them a warm, mellow tone that defined the rock sounds of the 1950s and '60s. The nickel wrap enhances midrange frequencies and compression, creating a fat, crunchy distortion and natural sustain. This vintage voice pairs perfectly with tube amps and classic rock effects.

Light Top/Heavy Bottom for Power and Punch

The P02250 set uses light top and heavy bottom string gauges tailored for high-output rock and blues styles. The lighter top strings (.011-.018") have fast, slinky response that facilitates intricate solos and complex chording. The heavier bottom strings (.028-.048") provide tight, punchy bass tones and stable tuning when dropping to lower pitches. This hybrid set delivers a versatile performance for rock, hard rock, and blues.

Precision and Performance

All Ernie Ball strings are manufactured to the highest standards using state-of-the-art equipment. Strict quality control and consistency testing ensure optimum performance, tuning stability, and long life. Ernie Ball is dedicated to producing the finest electric guitar strings for musicians everywhere. The P02250 Pure Nickel Power Slinky set continues Ernie Ball's legacy of innovation, high quality, and great value.

Had these strings on for three days now. Still sounding great. You know that kind of jingle that new strings have, well I love it and these strings still have after three days, so I am so happy. After years of only using .10, I thouhg that I would try the .11's and they sound immaculate! Buy them, you will not be sorry.

Ive tried all the common brands and nothing comes close to the tonal balance of Pure Nickel... the high strings arent muddied by the low strings: it all rings clear.. and I love Ernie Balls because the bend better... other brands don't "Slink" Back to tune...

These strings are excellent. For the past two years, I have only used Ernie Ball's. It's not that the strings wore down after long, it's that I needed my Floyd set up. If it was up to me, I'd keep the original strings on, because they would still be in top shape. If you want a rich tone, these are your strings.
