I use to use GHS Boomers, then a good friend suggested I try EB's...that was about 3-4 years ago. Since then, nothing but EB is used on my guitars, and if you are an active musician then you know how important reliable strings are. there is nothing worse than breaking a string during gig and I have yet to break an Ernie Ball string. I run .010's on all my electrics and EB 2151 hybrids on my acoustics. Ernie Ball strings can really take a beating. I play hard and fast most of the time so the strings really get abused. Pitch bends, dive bombs or just really slamming them they have always held tone and have never let me down...they won't let you down either.

Too slinky

I bought these because I had heard the rave reviews and I have only ever played D'Addario strings. So I figured I'd at least try them out to see if I like them. They are way too easy to play. Granted, they are excellent strings and you can tell they are quality, but they are just too dainty. If you are used to heavier strings and harder bends, try something else. I'm used to a throatier sound with more bass and mids. These are too trebly for my preference. This does not mean they are bad strings. I suggest for those who like SRV and are into blues to stay away. Bends with Ernie Ball are effortless--almost too effortless. I felt like I wasn't even playing anything. I am glad I tried them however. Now I know what I prefer.

You really can't go wrong with a green pack of ernie ball regular slinkys! I use these on several of my guitars, and they just feel right. When you think of the feeling of an electric guitar string, this is what you are thinking about. I've tried other brands, sizes, etc. but I keep a 12 pack of these on deck.

I purchased this package 'cause Slinky is pretty much a safe bet for any teenage student. 10-46 is, probably, the most common variant. Even though my daughter prefers 9-42, boys have no problem with regular Slinkies. So far so good. #sweepstakes

Been using these on my Les Paul and Es-335 and the super slinky(pink pack) on my Tele for years. Durability hasn't been an issue and tone always sounds good.
