The first strain seems typical enough, until at the cadence a moving 12/8 piano accompaniment rolls forth. From there onward we know we are in for a treat of pleasant surprises. The piano takes a firm stance in the third verse, returning to the 12/8 fluidity before reaching a gentle end. Solid vocal writing make this a great choice for choirs of all sizes.
