Great starter violin

My husband bought this for me for mother's day this year. While it did take a while to get it because of being on backorder, I really don't have any complaints about this violin. The picture on the site does not do it justice. When I did get it and opened the box, the violin was perfect and set up ready to play. There were two loose hairs on the bow but nothing that I could not fix. I have played the violin before as a child and wanted to get back into it. The Prelude strings that come with it do sound good and are great for getting started. The tuning pegs are very stiff but it can be easily fixed with some peg drops or compound. Since I fixed the pegs, the strings stay in tune very well and I don't have to constantly re-tune it while practicing. My instructor has also played it and likes it very much and said that for the price it is a very good violin for someone who is a novice or just getting back into playing music again. I fully enjoy my violin and can't complain about it. The only thing I am going to change it is the strings. I plan on restringing it with Dominant strings to give it a more fuller sound.
