I got this guitar back in 2019 as my professor required a classical guitar. I absolutely love this instrument. Best price, quality and sound you'll get for this price point. It will get the job done and then some until you can justify a professional level instrument.

I purchased my Lucero in 2016 and was initially delighted with it. I'm mostly an electric player and I found this Lucero Flamingo Model easy to play after lowering the string height. After one year I updated my review and downgraded my Rating of 5-Stars to 3-Stars. When I purchased the guitar it was brand new - the sales person had to get one from their store warehouse. There wasn't one on the sales floor to demo. My serial number starts with "GW16". Hence, the guitar had been manufactured in 2016. It had not aged at all. So when I brought it home it started the aging process. This is a very "woody" guitar. What I mean is that with the spruce top there isn't a ton of finish applied. You can actually see the ridges of the woodgrain. The finish isn't so thick as to smooth it out. After the first year my guitar significantly dried. It should have been aged at the factory, or at least the wood should've been aged before assembly. So my neck shrunk slightly - to the point that sharp fret ends protruded. I purchased a fret ends file and fixed the sharp fret ends. I also put a humidifier in the case, which slowed the aging/shrinking process. Now, and for the past few years, this guitar had become more playable. It sounds fantastic and plays like a dream. I guess at this price point manufacturers can't take the time to age the woods, or the guitar. Just know that this guitar gets better with age. I highly recommend this guitar and revise my review to 5-stars.

This guitar plays and sounds fantastic both acoustic and electric. Pick up is ok with it's built in preamp and the tuner is fine. It's better than anything similar until you get to about the $1500-$2000 price point. Lucero has done a better job at having their guitars arriving pretty much set up and ready to go for the most part and this one was no exception. It's action was perfect for me.. low to the limit. I'm actually in love with my new guitar so much that it's already my #1. Oh and it's BEAUTIFUL as well. One tip that has helped me with all of my Lucero guitars (I've now owned 10) is that I keep it tuned to E flat. No science behind this other than I think its the sweet spot for the sound I like. ✌️

I personally used this for graduate school and to be honest you can't find a better guitar for it's quality and price point. The intonation varies 8-15+ cents past the 5th fret but over all it's a great guitar and has sound construction and volume production.

Been playing since 14 now 53. Owned over 20 guitars fr Ibanez to Gibson and Martin. Played this guitar exclusively for 8 years. Recently upgraded to several handmade Spanish guitars. I keep going back to this guitar and I have 3 handmade Spanish guitars I spent 9k on. Holds its own. You won't be disappointed.

I was looking for a Yamaha CGX 102 but this guitar caught my eye. Played it for awhile and liked the sound unplugged and plugged into my acoustic A40 amp. I did not play the one in the box, just looked it over for blemishes and cracks. When I got home with it I realized the fret bars were protruding out at each end and we're very sharp. The neck is also bowed and the string are 3/8 + over the frets. There is an Allen wrench that comes with it, but l am not sure how much I can crank on the tension rod before things start to break. Looks like another trip to the G C store to repair and set up a new instrument. We will see how the service goes before I recommend this to anyone.
