    Highly Recommended!

    Despite being a little concerned upon first reading some of these other reviews, I was afraid this would not be the right pedal for my situation. I wanted the simplest pedal I could find to use for our acoustic duo's live shows (bass/guitar) - something to back myself up during solos to beef up the sound. THIS TURNED OUT TO BE PERFECT! It helped me to reprogram the order of playback/overdubbing since I am not using it for any actual overdubs, which is very easy to do - and it "holds" the order of settings even once powered off. I also added the optional external FS-5U foot switch to eliminate having to double click to stop (and have the loop play 1-2 seconds after stopping which is apparently common) which can be tricky when trying to play & sing. All in all, this is a great pedal for the price and can be applied to many uses - for live performance or at home - IF you read the directions, put a little time into learning how to use it properly, and get your timing down for punch-ins/outs.

    It works but please just buy the RC-3

    It works well for clean tracks with several overdubs but handles distortion VERY muddy. and you only get 1 memory slot. You might think "It's my first loop pedal I don't need more than one I can't even use this thing!" No, you'll get the hang of it in a day and you'll want to have more than one project going at once. Save your money and get the 3. It is pretty nice to start here because of the LED lights that help you with timing for first time loopers, but it is still not that worth buying if you CAN afford the 3.

      I had a different brand of looper but could never get the hang of using it because it was so complicated. My wife gave me the RC-1 for Christmas and I was able to use it in no time. I like it for practicing soloing ideas over chords.

      This Boss loop station is a used by a pros. It's one of the main most reliable pedals from Boss, along with their delay pedal (which I also have). If you're looking to work on some looping stuff on stage or use it for practice at home, this is a really great product. Also, it just looks cool!

      With a maximum 12 minutes of stereo recording time, the RC-1 is capable of capturing any extended performance that you can create or imagine! The stereo in/out jacks can be used with stereo effects and amplifiers.
