Analysis Plus

collapse expand iconDescription

This Yellow Oval Instrument Cable with overmold plug is a best-seller. It has won Editor's pick in Bass Player and Keyboard Magazine. It is the cable John Mayer, Chris Rodriguez and Brad Rice of Keith Urban's Band, Rick Rosasa (Neil Young's band), Jack Casady (Hot Tuna), and many other great players love. The conductors are low loss 18-gauge oxygen-free copper woven in a patented oval design. It is a balanced design (not coaxial like others). To get maximum performance you wouldn't put bicycle tires on a Ferrari—the same is true for your guitar and amp.

Available in different lengths.

Been using Analysis Plus cables for a little over 3 years now. I use the Yellow Oval for guitar or bass into pedals too amp. I use the Silver Oval from amp to speaker. I own other top brand cables and have done enough experiments to conclude that the Analysis Plus cables offer a better sound transfer of output and overall frequency distribution. The sound I get is very pleasing and huge sounding. The 60 cycle hum is less noticeable with my Telecaster too.

If you don't tend to drown your instrument's native tone in a ton of EQ, distortion, and effects, and actually want to hear every single detail of your instrument, then this is the cable for you. Is it noticeably better? Absolutely. More than noticeable, it is like the difference between looking through a dirty, smudged window, and going outside and seeing the world in all its detail with your own eyes. If you bury your native tone, then this may not be worth it to you. Otherwise, pick this up now.
