These velocity- and pressure-sensitive pads are also a little bigger compared to past models. They easily work with Ableton Live to launch clips. Coordinating LED lights match up with clips in Ableton Live, making it easy to select and play the right track. The LED lights are not only helpful, but also look great when performing live.

Even better, the pads can be customized. With Scale Mode, pads are able to be locked to specific musical keys. Dynamic Note unlocks in-key basslines, melodies, chords and leads, all available at a player’s fingertips. The Launchpad Pro can also sense when a player is drumming, and will display a drum rack on the grid. Top it all off with Chord Mode to create all sorts of harmonies, no matter how complex they are.

Hands-on MIDI Control

Turn the Launchpad Pro [MK3] into an ideal controller for a live setup. Eight Custom Modes transform it into a system compatible with MIDI software or hardware. All a player has to do is drag and drop widgets into Novation Components. It’s ready to drop in to any preexisting setup or studio. Novation’s Easy Start Tool makes setting up the Launchpad easy and provides further customization. It works with or without a computer for expressive MIDI control.

Create Full Songs With the 32-Step Sequencer

Built into the Launchpad Pro [MK3] is the four-track, eight-note polyphonic, 32-step standalone sequencer. Using the sequencer, a player can sequence preferred virtual instruments. With the Ableton Live integration, it’s also easy to print patterns to Clips. The sequencer comes equipped with tools to evolve tracks over time. Change it up with probability, mutation, sync rate and play order controls that can also switch up patterns instantly. More Software to Love

On top of Ableton Live 10 Lite, there’s plenty of other software to take advantage of included with the Launchpad Pro [MK3]. Produce cassette tape sound with reverb and tape deck emulation from Klevgrand R0Verb and DAW Cassette. Build a library of plug-ins with new plug-ins every few months from Sound Collective. The Softube Time and Tone bundle provide even more plug-ins for delay, reverb, distortion and mastering. Back it all up with the core synth sounds of the AAS Session bundle.
