Returns for gifts purchased from now until 12/17/15 extended through 1/31/16. Extension does not apply to items not returnable and 3 and 14 day return items under standard return policy.

Our goal is your total satisfaction.

If you’re not satisfied, neither are we. If for any reason you’re not completely satisfied with your purchase, simply return it in its original condition within 45 days of purchase (see exceptions below) and we’ll give you a full refund. It’s that simple. Returned items must be in original, brand-new condition, showing no signs of wear or use such as belt-buckle or pick scratches, scuffs, dings or scrapes on the instrument or collateral materials. Items must also include all original packaging, manuals, warrantees and accessories or your return may be subject to a return handling charge. Click Here to see detailed return handing charges. Your refund will be promptly processed upon completing evaluation of your returned item. Refunds are made for product value only, excluding shipping and handling charges. If you received Free Shipping on your order, the value of the uncharged shipping cost will be deducted from your refund. To avoid return shipping fees, return your online purchase at your nearest Guitar Center retail location.

Exceptions to 45-day return period:

  • Return within 14 days of purchase - recording devices, DJ equipment, workstation keyboards, rack signal processors and lighting/fog machines.
  • Return within 3 days of purchase – vintage instruments
  • No returns – clearance items, discontinued items, Apple hardware, opened software, electronic software downloads, books, CDs, videos, turntable cartridges, tubes, in ear buds, earplugs and in ear monitors, special orders…both custom orders and items we don’t stock
  • Band & Orchestra returns - All returned woodwind and brass instruments incur a $10.00 sanitization fee. Returned bows are assessed a $4.00 restocking fee. Returned mouthpieces over $300 incur an $8.00 sanitization fee; the fee for mouthpieces under $300 is $4.00

Abuse of Return Privileges

Our return policy is in place to ensure our customers never get stuck with a wrong piece of gear. Those who violate the spirit of our return policy by having excessive returns may be subject to limitations or suspension of return privileges.
