I have seen something similar to this thing, but not quite something like this, with these unique drawings on it. As soon as I saw it, it drew my attention. I tapped on it and heard a very unique sound I had not heard before. I had heard unique sounds, but not like this. And you don't even need a stick or anything. You can just use the tip of your fingers or other parts of your hands. Very unique drum. Never seen anything like it. Similar sound to an instrument called a Mexican Marimba. Una Marimba Mexicana. In which you use a small stick with a round small ball in front of it. Very similar sound. Similar, yet different. Very nice DRUM. I REALLY, REALLY LIKE IT!!!

This is my first handpan drum and I'm not normally a percussionist, but I this instrument is fun and easy to play. The sound from the drone is great. I have enjoyed playing this instrument and would buy again.

X8 doesn't refer to it that way. The state they are 'hand tuned'.

I see conflicting answers as to the reference pitch of the tuning, and the manufacturer's website doesn't provide this info, either. Is there any way to get a confirmed answer as to the reference pitch? A=440Hz? A=432Hz? A=442Hz (as one answer suggests)?

    I’m sorry, I don’t know the Hz. It's a D Kurd scale: D3, A3, Bb3, C4, D4, E4, F4, G4, A4, C5.
