Overview

The Swollen Pickle Jumbo Fuzz MkIIS serves up the same burly high gain fuzz as the full-sized MkII but in a more petite package. With a twist of the Sustain control, you’re taken from mild crunch to Armageddon. The Filter control retains its trademark insane range of heavily bandpass-filtered tones, distinguished by remarkable girth and sizzle, and the Loudness puts out enough volume to clobber any amp. The Scoop tone stack control elicits classic Swollen Pickle mid-scoop or a flat mid-frequency sweep, and the Crunch knob adjusts the compression intensity of the fuzz. Finally, under the hood, the MkIIS has two internal mini controls: Voice sets the intensity of the external scoop control from light to heavy mid cut, and Clip varies between two sets of clipping diodes for smooth or opened fuzz sustain.

Features

  • Smaller, more pedalboard-friendly housing
  • Take your signal from mild crunch to high gain Armageddon
  • Scoop, Crunch, and internal Voice and Clip controls for fine-tuning fuzz sound

Comments about Way Huge Electronics Swollen Pickle Jumbo Fuzz MkIIS Guitar Effects Pedal:

I am a verified purchaser, I bought this in-store at the Fountain Valley Guitar Center right before Christmas 2017. I bought this pedal based off Way Huge's own promo video for the pedal, so if you're questionable about the effects, go watch their video. Which I must say, they did a PHENOMENAL job displaying all conceivable sounds you can get out of this fuzz. If you are looking for a fuzz that can articulate low, low/mid, mid, and high/mid - this is the pedal for you - I saw Joe Bonamassa use this at a demo and it was mind blowing through an original 59 LP, so I was apprehensive how it'd sound through my 2017 american strat, then I saw the way huge product video showing it through a strat, and I was sold. I think this is one of the best fuzz pedals you can get for its price tag. At the end of the day there are better pedals out there that can cover a WIDE variety of fuzz effects, but NONE come close to the SwollenP at the price point, if you're looking for something under 200 - I mean at 130 it is a steal. I replaced my fuzz face with the Swollen pickle because with my strat it gives me the low/mid bark and sustain you just don't get with strats - I run my strats with VMOD pickups and N4 noiseless. Through my 2013 Les Paul Standard the sustain is out of control. The ONLY slight gripe I have is that there really isn't much high end adjustment, it is definitely more of a high/mid to low/mid fuzz, but that is exactly what I was going for - for the super high treble stuff i use boosts any way. I like running my TS808 into this fuzz, even through my single coil VMOD it is totally manageable hum.

Bottom line, for the price point I'd take this as a beginner's first pedal, or an advanced user's addition to their collection of fuzzes that destroy the low/mid - high/mid range.
