Wampler Ratsbane Distortion Effects Pedal Gray

Description
Wampler Pedals is proud to introduce the Ratsbane Distortion Effects Pedal. This pedal is based on a circuit that shaped the sound of rock music in the 1980s and beyond. With a turn of its responsive controls, the Ratsbane can produce a spectrum of distortion from a responsive overdrive to an anarchic fuzz.
Dial in your perfect distortion
The Ratsbane's distortion control enables you to select your desired amount of grit, from a powerful clean boost to a harmonic-drenched fuzz. The volume control adjusts the output to suit the needs of any rig. The Ratsbane's secret weapon is its filter control, which shapes your tone. Turn it counter-clockwise for a piercing lead tone or clockwise for a warm, cranked-amp sound.
Turbocharge your gain
The Ratsbane features a 3-position gain switch that provides varying levels of distortion. The middle position delivers the pedal's classic gain. The left position boosts gain for a smooth, sustaining tone. The right position unleashes an outrageous amount of distortion for modern metal styles.
Modern metal tones
The Ratsbane's voice switch alters the pedal's compression and clipping to produce a tighter, more focused distortion perfect for high-gain playing. This switch rolls back some of the fuzz-like qualities of the circuit to deliver an aggressive tone tailored for contemporary metal genres.
A legacy of tone
The Ratsbane continues Wampler Pedals' tradition of improving on classic circuits. Guitarists have long clamored for Brian Wampler to apply his expertise to this seminal distortion pedal and the Ratsbane exceeds all expectations. An essential tool for blues, rock and metal players, the Ratsbane Distortion Effects Pedal delivers a benchmark tone that has stood the test of time.

Wampler knocked it out of the park with this one. I am using the Ratsbane Distortion for my Bass rig for It's dedicated high gain properties. This is not on my regular guitar pedal board. This tiny pedal gives a Massive Distortion of reality! The controls are versatile but the one that stands out is the 3 gain toggle mini switch-Turn that bad boy to the far right and your in Turbo overdrive Heaven. My Ernie Ball Sting Ray turned into a massive chunk of thick Volcanic eruption. Sick and thumping/ Sounds great thru Mark Bass 15inch. It has also the classic "rat' sounds" but Go Heavy or go home. Stop reading and go pick one up.

Sounds like the original, leaves a much smaller footprint, and is more versatile.

No doubt this thing has tons of tone sculpting options. You can do the rat sound, obviously, but then you can add more full frequency gain, or add more of a mid-hump gain. On top of that you can change the voice and get a tighter distortion. Combine that with the versatility of the rat circuit and a small foot print! Works for me! Only issue would be the proximity of the switches with the knobs. But that's it.

The fuzz tone is the best!!! It does al the distorted sounds you can think of I don't think I'll need another distortion pedal for a while BUT i do wish it came in more standard sized pedal rather than a mini version :-)
