The Steve Jordan sticks give a solid rim shot sound. They are very balanced and the grip is amazing. They allow you to attack with ease, and don't feel heavy when grooving.

  • Nice but the tip tends to chip easily

Love the feel and the length. The bead chips easily.

I started using these SJ's when they first hit the market as I have severe arthritis in my hands and fingers; these have the additional length and balance which gives me a better range all styles of playing. And by the way...I still have and sometimes use some of my original Vic F. sticks that were required for college. 45 years old and they are still balanced and not warped. ...you guys have it lucky because back in those days one pair of sticks might cost you $90-4100.00 a pair if you could even get them.

Years ago I was trying to find a fairly light stick with good reach. I typically play vic firth, so I tried freestyle 7as. I like them a lot, but I use those for outdoor shows. The Steve Jordan's are perfect for me as I play in church and other small venues frequently. They have a little less weight than the freestyle 7as.

  • Great drumsticks if you like them thin and long

I've been an 8D player for many many years now, but have recently started experimenting with longer sticks which have a more forgiving fulcrum area and greater control. I've been playing with the 7A Freestyle sticks for a little while, but these Steve Jordan signature sticks are my new favorite.

The stick is amazing and has a perfect balanced bounce off of a drum head or cymbal and is weighted perfectly. 16 1/2 length is perfect. This is the perfect studio stick for players who do meticulous work. I think it might need a nylon ball tip to make it absolutely perfect
