Vic Firth

collapse expand iconDescription

Steve Gadd and Vic Firth have solved the age-old problem of wire brushes snagging on new coated drumheads. By slightly angling the wires in the top 3/4" of the playing end, Steve Gadd wire brushes glide across the drum head with a smooth sweep and a velvet swish sound. The angled wires also increase surface contact to generate increased volume.

These brushes are the only ones I use. I use moongel pads on my drumheads en these brushes seldom stick in these pads. The angled wire makes it possible to play the brushes in different modes.

Never really used brushes before, but had to pick up a pair for a session I was hired for. Found these very easy to use and forgiving for someone who does not have much, or any experience using brushes.
