Why a 1 SPOT Daisy-Chain is Quiet.

Description
The Truetone 1 SPOT Combo Pack is an all-in-one power supply designed to fuel your pedalboard without the hassle and clutter of multiple adapters. The 1 SPOT Combo Pack provides quiet, reliable 9V DC power for up to eight pedals at once. With its compact, space-saving design, the 1 SPOT takes up only one spot on your power strip but packs enough juice to power your entire board.
Powers Up to Eight Pedals at Once
The included 8-plug daisy-chain cable lets you power up to eight pedals simultaneously with the 1 SPOT Combo Pack. For even more pedals, you can link additional cables to the 1 SPOT, providing a virtually unlimited power solution for the largest pedalboards. The 1 SPOT's 1,700mA capacity can handle power-hungry digital pedals as well as analog classics with ease.
Global Voltage for Use Anywhere
The 1 SPOT Combo Pack automatically converts voltage for worldwide use so you can take your pedalboard on tour anywhere without a special converter. Whether you're playing a gig across town or across the world, the 1 SPOT has you covered.
Adapters for Nearly Any Pedal
With a variety of included adapters, the 1 SPOT Combo Pack is compatible with almost any guitar pedal. It comes with two 3.5 mm adapters for use with vintage-style pedals, two battery clip adapters and an L6 adapter specifically for powering Line 6 modeling pedals. The 1 SPOT can also directly replace many common power supplies like the BOSS PSA, Morley 9V and Ibanez AC109.
Ultraquiet, Hum-Free Operation
Unlike some power supplies that can introduce unwanted noise and hum, the 1 SPOT Combo Pack is engineered to be one of the quietest options available. Its advanced circuitry provides pure, clean power that won't interfere with your tone.

Want peace of mind for your pedals (and wallet)?
I bought the 1 Spot Combo Pack after the salesman pointed out it was only $5 more than buying the lone 1 Spot Adaptor and the five-plug daisy chain. This comes with an eight-plug daisy chain as well as 5 power adaptors for various pedals. With this setup, I have completely eliminated the stress of having to make sure I bought enough (expensive) 9-volt batteries and/or remembered to unplug the input to EVERY single pedal. The 10ft power cord is well more than long enough to reach my pedalboard. The standard plugs work great for my Crybaby, Boss pedals, and Line 6 Echo Park. I don't have any crazy pedals with odd plugs or anything like that, but if I ever aquire any, I can always use the 9-volt battery plug adaptors that came with the Combo Pack. Now my pedals are all plugged in, all completely powered, and I never have to worry about it ever again. The worst thing I'd have to worry about is buying another daisy chain if for some reason I end up having more than 8 pedals. I've heard a couple people complain about picking up some hum when using the 1 Spot adaptor. I have not experienced this at all, and I would challenge those people to check how they have things set up. If you're a rock star and money isn't an issue for you, I'm sure you could drop $300-400 on a bomb proof electrical system, or just have your guitar tech put brand new batteries in ALL of your pedals before EVERY show..... but for the rest of us who live in the REAL WORLD, this product is fantastic and works precisely as advertised. Just buy it. The only potential negative is that if you only have a few pedals there can be a lot of excess cabling, and if you don't have a pedalboard to strap it down to... it could look a little ugly. For these people I would probably recommend getting the five-plug daisy chain. Or you can get creative like I did, I just stuffed all the extra cable into the (now empty) battery compartment of my Crybaby.

Noisy
I returned this power supply after a few days. I was using it to power a looper pedal (Boss RC-1) and a DigiTech DL-8 delay. They were plugged into a Blackstar ID Core 10 on a clean channel with the gain knob at 12 o'clock. So a fairly clean sound, no overdrive or distortion. With this setup, there was a LOT of noise. I tried different outlets, but nothing changed. I ran the guitar straight into amp, and there was no noise. I unplugged the power supply, installed batteries in the pedals, and there was no noise.

Originally I was only going to buy the lone 1 Spot adapter but after seeing that the combo pack is only a few bucks more I went for this instead and I'm really glad I did. It comes with an 8 plug daisy chain and 5 adapters to power up multiple pedals. With this product you don't have to worry about having a bunch of 9 volt batteries for each of your pedals. This is more than what I could ask for as someone who plays at home for a hobby.

Great power supply. Fixed my problem of too many cords and multiple power supplies. This eliminated all of them. Even powered my vintage Maestro Fuzztain that requires a center positive pin type jack.
I would buy this again

Does this include the plugs for a strymon cloudburst and a walrus canvas tuner...and is it okay to use individual 1spots for each pedal instead of daisy chaining them?
Yes, it does. Strymon Cloudburst Power Requirements: 9V DC, 250mA, center-negative Compatible with 1 SPOT, as long as you don’t exceed the total mA load of 1700mA across all pedals. Be sure to use a plug from the daisy chain that maintains center-negative polarity (which the standard 1 SPOT plugs do). Walrus Canvas Tuner Power Requirements: 9V DC, 100mA, center-negative. 2) Yes, you can.submitteda year ago
