Taylor Guitars Showdown: GS Mini Rosewood vs. GT 811e
Description
There's something undeniably inviting about the scaled-down size of the Taylor GS Mini-e. With a combination of portability and musicality, the GS Mini-e fits into virtually any situation, from the couch to the campfire to the concert hall. It's not too big, it's not too precious and it's not too expensive. That broad-based accessibility has given it a resounding universal appeal, as well as a built-in fun factor. A Sitka Spruce top blends stiffness and elasticity in just the right proportions which translates into broad dynamic range with crisp articulation, while layered rosewood back and sides offer robust tone with low-end fullness and high-end sparkle. This GS Mini-e is equipped with Taylor's ES-B system, which incorporates piezo design elements from the flagship Taylor ES2 system. Powered by a 9V battery, its onboard preamp includes a built-in digital chromatic tuner, an LED display for tuning and low battery indication, and a tone-sculpting 3-band EQ. The acoustic-electric versions enjoy a sweet upgrade to our ES2 electronics. All GS-Mini models include a durable hard bag for optimal fit.
