Description
Taylor Guitars' 614ce V-Class Grand Auditorium acoustic-electric guitar features V-Class bracing, a torrefied Sitka spruce top, maple back and sides, and Taylor's ES2 electronics, the 614ce produces a bold yet balanced tone that accurately reflects your personal playing technique. The V-Class bracing boosts volume, sustain and note intonation, allowing chords to ring out in perfect harmony. The torrefied top provides warmth and depth, while the maple body delivers clarity and definition. Together, these premium tonewoods create an open, versatile sound with a wide dynamic range.
V-Class Bracing Revolutionizes the Acoustic Experience
Taylor's patented V-Class bracing is a breakthrough that improves volume, sustain and intonation. Notes sound purer, with minimal sonic interference, allowing the guitar's full tonal potential to shine through whether playing solo or in an ensemble. Chords bloom and decay evenly across the fretboard, with no choked or imbalanced tones. The 614ce offers an acoustic experience like no other.
Premium Tonewoods Produce a Bold Yet Balanced Tone
A torrefied Sitka spruce top provides the 614ce with warmth, richness and resonance. Maple back and sides deliver clarity and cut, allowing your personal playing technique to shape the overall tone. Together, these tonewoods create a versatile sound with crisp highs, punchy mids and robust lows that suits any genre or playing style.
Playability and Electronics for Practice or Performance
With a cutaway body and slim neck, the 614ce is comfortable and accessible. Taylor's ES2 electronics faithfully amplify the guitar's acoustic properties, conveying clarity, depth and dynamic range. Volume, bass and treble controls provide tone shaping, while the onboard tuner ensures precise intonation on stage or in the studio. Whether at home, on stage or recording, the 614ce delivers an inspiring playing experience. Get your 614ce V-Class Grand Auditorium acoustic-electric guitar from Guitar Center today.

I made the right choice!

I have been looking for a few years for a six string acoustic and so glad I waited for the right one. It was between the 614ce and the Gibson Hummingbird Studio. Both great guitars but this Taylor is just a jaw-dropping standout. First of all it's stunningly beautiful in every single way. But beyond that the craftsmanship is immaculate and is perfectly built. The sound and playability are simply unbelievable. It is warm without being muted and rings out for what seems an eternity. The neck is a dream and I was flying up and down it in no time. Simply put the Taylor 614ce V-Class Grand Auditorium is one of the most amazing instruments I have ever played. It is well worth the investment and I am in love with this guitar. If you are looking for a perfect six string acoustic electric, consider this one. Nothing else comes close!!

614ce is as advertised! V-class bracing works as advertised. I already liked maple guitars and this guitar enforces my love of maple. Great dynamic range and tone. The sustain is unrivaled in my experience. Great sound from the nut to the 20th fret.
I think this is the last Taylor I'll need to buy!

So far, I really love the sound, construction and appointments. I asked my guitar tech to check it out before I picked it up at the store and he played it for 20 minutes. Andy Powers really did a nice job redesigning the 614ce into the V-Class. So far, I've found no flaws, and the factory setup is perfect. The action matches that of any of my electrics and is extremely playable above the 12th fret without any tuning issues. The appointments are as nice or better than that of my 2006 Taylor NC62ce, which is also maple and spruce.

When I bought my first Taylor 314ce 10 years ago, the 614ce was the one I truly wanted but I didn't have the money at the time. Then I heard that Taylor was coming out with a new bracing called V-Class bracing so I had to see what all the talk was about. I must say I was not disappointing at all! It was a little tough because no stores has the V-Class in store to try out so I did a lot of homework on it and it seems that this will be the future to Taylor Guitars. I have played the 814 and 914 but in the end they do not have the same sound at the 614. It is so crisp and easy to play. The wood work/stain is awesome on the back and there are a few more details on the head. I did hear a difference between the 614ce and the 614 V Class. The V class has more sustain and less sour notes. Strings are nice and low to the fret board so it makes bar chords even easier to play. 100% recommend this guitar.
