Best purchase I've made I transitioned from a cheap peavy to this mid range tak around 3 years ago I never thought it would make that big of a diff. instantly I felt the diff. on my fingers much easier to play the fat fret wires I think makes the diff. also I learned from my previous guitar to keep it in a case at all times. worth getting a case for it I would hate to see that bridge lift up
Nice guitar!

Bought this to be a beater for practice and toting to other people's houses. The sound and flame maple binding really sold me. Not a fan of laurel fingerboards, but it was a compromise. On the up side, the quartersawn neck is a plus. Had to pay a bit for the sharp frets to be dressed. All said and done, it's a very good sounding instrument for the price, and it could very much be someone's last guitar if you don't want to spend 4x the price for something arguably better. The electronics could use replacement, but that wasn't a factor in my purchase - I use mics for that.
What an AWESOME guitar !!

I bought this guitar after playing (and buying) multiple others in search the "right" one. I bought and returned a Taylor 214ce that just sounded too bright, and really wanted that deeper end that only a dreadnought can deliver. After reading countless reviews, I found this guitar and bought it off the GC website (unseen and unplayed)...what a pleasant surprise! This sounds better than the Taylor, has a sweet narrow neck and tight action. The built-in tuner is a nice bonus, and the EQ allows for a nice balanced sound when playing plugged-in. This guitar is now my go-to for everyday practice, and it looks absolutely stunning as well. The guitar I bought was also "blemished" so GC took 20% off the item (and the flaw was so tiny both myself and the guy in the store had to hunt to locate it). I would definitely buy this one again !
I can't put this thing down!

I finger pick most songs on my acoustic guitars, and so the action on this guitar is right where it needs to be. Little to no fret buzz and it is not too high so i can transition smoothly across the fret board. Sounds great through my Fishman amp and unplugged. This is something I plan to keep for a lifetime.
Gonna buy one again

I forget why I had to sell this but I regret it so much. I'm gonna replace it in spring. It played perfect. I prefer this over Martin's and Taylor's in the $1k to $1500 price range. I loved this guitar. action was good, sound was amazing, pickup was good. If you want professional quality in an acoustic electric, this is it
Beautiful Guitar

This is a beautiful guitar. It is D-35 three piece back with Quilted Maple center wedge piece and maple border purfling. Rosewood back and sides with non scalloped bracing. The guitar is somewhat heavy. With the bracing of this particular guitar makes for a long time before this guitar ever gets broken in. It is a very nice rich sounding guitar but I have been trying to play as much as I can for two years; trying to break it in and loosen it up so it will resonate more, but this one is going to take a considerable time. It is quite stiff. My particular guitar I have customized. I managed to find a set of Grover Roto Tuners in Gold Hardware. I put a set of lightly aged bone bridge pins with abalone which matches that of this guitar fret board. Also replaced the pick guard with a rosewood which has an angel playing a harp with a somewhat floral all,in abalone which makes this a pretty one of a kind. That being said, these are wonderful guitars to customize.
