Fantastic guitar!

Don't let the fact that this is a G Series dissuade you from this guitar. I have had so many compliments about the GD20CE-NS. It has a warm, crisp tone when picking, either by finger or with a pick, and has an aggressive tone when strummed. I play and sing in my church worship band, and the electronics are crystal clear. And the onboard tuner is super convenient. I have a spruce over maple/rosewood that I love, but I have hardly played it since getting this cedar topped beauty. It doesn't have a pick guard, but that was one thing I really like: the clean look. I highly recommend the GD20CE.

Outstanding guitar for the money. My dad has the same model and I loved the sound so I bought one also. The cedar top lends a deeper, mellower tone that sounds so nice unplugged and is also great for fingerpicking.

I went to the store expecting to buy a dreadnought, but played this guitar and kept coming back to it. It has great projection, love the satin feel on the neck, very playable and great sound. I played other guitars in the same price range, and even up to $200 more, but found I wasn't getting a better sound out of those, so I bought this one. I've had it a few days now and can't put it down, my wife and kids also dabble with it - the neck has a good "not to thick, not too thin" feel. Like a slim 60's neck, so if you like something more V-shaped or a 50's style neck, this may not be the guitar for you. I really like having the cutaway, it definitely makes the frets a lot more usable, and at least from behind the guitar, it doesn't sound like it's negatively impacted tone as compared to others in the price range. No cons so far, the built-in tuner is a neat feature. I have not tried plugging the guitar in, but I'm glad it has a pickup so that I can. If you're looking for an intermediate level guitar and don't have the budget to get into an all solid-wood acoustic, this is a great option.
Good choice at a good price.

This is a great guitar at an inepenssive price. I could've gone with a high priced guitar from Takamine, but I decided to go with this one. The guitar does require a set up out of the box, I prefer a lower action as it makes the guitar easier to play for me. Once it comes back from the guitar shop, we'll see how playable it is. Over all I am very happy with my purchase, I wanted a Takamine guitar for the longest time.
Amazing guitar love it so much!

I have had this guitar for over two years now and I can't put it down. I use it daily. I use it for writing songs, for learning songs, or just jamming out. It didn't have a pick guard (but I liked that) and so I have, over the two years, worn down the soft cedar top. This has lead to a second hole in the guitar (almost reminiscent of Glen Hansard's Guitar from Once), but I like it.
