This clamp will also except a 9.5 L Rod Working on my 60's Ludwig kit in hopes of mounting the cymbal back on the original bass drum cymbal holder.(9.5). Again, clamp will tighten on the old orginal L Rod. I used the SPL L Arm (SPH-13) to raise the cymbal a bit. Combo works nicely. So.Clamp accomadates sizes 9.5- 12.5.Good Luck.

L arm portion could be slightly longer for more versatility. Other than that, seems like it will work great.
