collapse expand iconDescription

The unbeatable sounds and interactive features of the Titan 70 module are now available in a stand-alone format, perfect for giving an aging e-kit new life. Included cables, power supply and device shelf make it a plug-and-play upgrade for nearly any electronic kit.

The internal sounds include stereo recordings made in a renown Seattle studio. The acoustic drums and cymbals ring out for their full decay time, rather than cutting off quickly to save memory space like other, similar kits. Multiple recordings of the drums from soft to loud add realism and playability and include stereo room ambience recorded at the session. The result is 50 drum kits with album-quality drum sounds to inspire practice sessions or recording. Double the memory of the Titan 50 module gives this kit even more sounds and styles like traditional jazz, metal and new stack cymbals. Built-in reverb and compression allow you to mix the drum sounds however you like and save your creations to the user kits.

The Titan 70 module includes Bluetooth Audio and MIDI for wireless interaction with your devices. Pair your phone or tablet with the module to play along with videos, music or apps through the same speakers or headphones as your drum sounds. Connect to our Simmons Drums app for iOS for easier kit selection, sound manipulation, mixing and more. A padded shelf on the module can hold your phone or tablet in place while you play. There’s even a built-in USB audio/MIDI interface for recording to DAW software, triggering software instruments and more.

Add the superior sounds and features of the Titan 70 module to your electronic drum kit.

Does the Simmons Titan have quality samples of the vintage analog Simmons sounds?

Does the Simmons Titan have quality samples of the vintage analog Simmons sounds?

The Simmons T70MC Titan 70 does include sounds inspired by vintage analog Simmons drums, like those classic SDS-V and SDS-7 tones that defined much of the 1980s electronic drum sound. However, it's important to note a few distinctions: Pros: Factory samples do include "Simmons-style" sounds, which resemble the punchy, hex-pad era tones. The module has editable parameters, allowing some shaping toward vintage flavor (like pitch, decay, etc.). Triggering and pad sensitivity are modern and responsive, making it easier to play those old-school sounds with today’s playability. The sounds are samples, not true analog synthesis, so purists may find them a bit digital or less authentic compared to original SDS hardware or specialized sample packs. The editing depth is limited compared to dedicated vintage re-creations or software emulations. The T70MC gets close and works well for casual or live use of classic Simmons-style sounds, but isn’t a dedicated vintage clone. It’s a good entry- to mid-level choice with some nods to the past, but not a deep dive into vintage authenticity.

How flexible could I be with this module? Could I for example hook up like eight Simmons SD12 pads to this for example instead of a mixture of pads and cymbals?

I have the Simmons Titan 50 and I purchased the M13, M16 & M18 cymbals which are triple zone and obviously would not work with my Titan 50, which only has single zone. If I swap out my Titan 50 module with the Titan70 module that Guitar Center has on sale, I take it that my triple zone cymbals will work then on my Titan 50 set with a Titan 70 module??

You can use the power supply. The 70 and 1200 don't have the same midi connections.
