Silvertone

collapse expand iconDescription

Originally offered in 1963, the Silvertone 1478 has been a favorite of guitarists worldwide for decades. Tweaked and enhanced for the modern era, the 1478 features a solid mahogany body with a maple top for a deeply rich tone and top-end bite. A genuine Brigsby tremolo and adjustable steel bridge provide flawless intonation and improved attack over the original model, along with an improved neck profile and joint system for enhanced sustain. The warmly articulate Silvertone 1478 is also equipped with exact replica single-coil pickups for an authentic vintage sound.

I use the Silvertone for entertaining family and friends. There is no significant difference in tone or sound between the bridge pickup and the neck pickups. Electronics seen to be sound otherwise.
