    It is impossibly to overstate how absolutely terrible these replacement foam sleeves are. First and foremost, they offer absolutely no sound isolation whatsoever. That is primarily due to the fact that they are too small and that they take many minutes to return to their original shape once inserted in the ear. I have used by Shure earphones as my in-ear monitors when drumming. The original tips that came with my earphones offered great isolation and were a joy to play with. These replacement tips made it impossible to hear what was coming through the earphones themselves as there was so much sound bleeding in. They are also rough and uncomfortable, meaning that even if they did offer good isolation, they'd be so hard to wear that you wouldn't want to keep them in. Stay as far away from these as you can!

    I used to have to wear a headband to keep the silicone plugs in my ears while drumming. The foam ones stay in my ear much better and I no longer need to put a headband on to keep them in my ears. Only trouble is they don't last as long as the silicone plugs.
