Schott Idées fixes (Sonata for 13) Schott Series Composed by Alexander Goehr

I wrote Idées fixes, subtitled Sonata for 13, in the Spring of 1997. The composition is in one continuous movement and is symmetrical in plan. The title refers to three basic motifs which pervade the texture.
