Like its hardware counterpart released in 2014, the  SYSTEM-1  Software Synthesizer boasts deep control and a diverse sound palette. For SYSTEM-1 hardware owners, the software provides advanced editor/librarian functions and total DAW integration. For producers, it delivers the mighty sound of the SYSTEM-1 in virtual form. 

 
A Future Classic 
A true desert island synth, the SYSTEM-1 fuses classic and utterly modern synth tones. Spend a little time with its intuitive controls and quickly generate inspiring sounds that sit perfectly in your mixes—thumping basses, glistening arps, warm pads, plucked synths, lo-fi effects and more. 
 
Advanced Arpeggiator 
The Scatter capability of the SYSTEM-1’s arpeggiator fuels experimentation and happy accidents. Six arpeggio types with six step settings combine with variable Scatter types and depth to create an infinite selection of patterns. In addition to notes, arpeggiate synth parameters like cutoff and resonance to build moving sequences and animated textures. 
 
Hardware Integration 
The SYSTEM-1 Software Synthesizer is a must-have for SYSTEM-1 or SYSTEM-1m hardware owners. Seamless, bi-directional communication between hardware and software gives complete editor/librarian functionality and an automatic, one-to-one hardware control interface. 

Lifetime Keys
To install an instrument with a Lifetime Key, you must have a Roland Account. To create your Roland Account, download Roland Cloud Manager, create an account/log in, download your instrument, and redeem your Lifetime Key.

    I bought a hardware System-1 back in 2015 The sound is really great and I like the overall sound from oscillators to filter MUCH better than what I have been hearing from Roland in recent years I got the software earlier this year (2022) to program a patch library I feel that this synth sounds so modern and really fits in studio productions Over and over I was using my sounds in productions to give it a modern edge
