Pigtronix Disnortion Micro Official Demo by Norwood Fisher

Description
This new micro version of the Disnortion hugely one-ups the original’s broad palette of touch-responsive dirt sounds by including the ability to switch from a parallel routing to a new, super saturated series routing where the 6-stage CMOS overdrive circuit is cascaded into Pigtronix unique diode-clipping fuzz and output through a 6-way passive filter network. A single gain knob controls the saturation of both the fuzz and overdrive circuits simultaneously.
The Parallel routing mode is ideal for players who like to pile on the gain without sacrificing clarity, dynamic response, punch or low end—it’s like double tracking your guitar inside a micro pedal. The Series routing mode offers an even wider range of gain and more extreme filter effects for metal tones and beyond, including self-oscillating timbres that can be modulated by pickup selection and guitar control settings.
The CMOS overdrive found in the Disnortion Micro responds to the dynamics of your playing using a unique, 6-stage gain architecture that retains the natural tone of your instrument while adding tube-style breakup as you play louder. Pigtronix Fuzz has a unique diode-clipping architecture designed to deliver compression and controllable feedback while preserving the dynamics of your playing style. The rotary tone control filter switch provides six musical EQ curves using a complex passive network, which compliments the Overdrive channel’s traditional low-pass filter.
The original Pigtronix Disnortion is loved for its limitless headroom, making it compatible with any instrument, from the weakest '60s pawnshop single-coils the most belligerent humbuckers as well as 5-string active basses and modern synth rigs. Pigtronix Disnortion Micro achieves this world-class performance standard using standard 9V power—and it fits in your pocket.

This pedal has so many options!
I'm in love with Fuzz but I personally don't have a practical application for one so this was the perfect excuse for me to have one in my arsenal. The thing that makes this pedal unique is the EQ rotary knob that allows you to choose the EQ shape to basically give you 12 unique pedal sounds when paired with the series/parallel function. I also think it's cool that a hint of Fuzz accents the Overdrive side when in parallel. Very versatile pedal.

Update with time.....It's garbage
I initially had a great review of this pedal. What's not to like about the terrific tones available? Nothing. So why the terrible review just four months after buying this pedal? Read below. So I always audition pedals on my studio board. This pedal was no exception. I really lived the tones I could get out of this pedal. But alas, it was WAY to good to be true. I went to record a couple of solo overdubs and that was when this pile of junk showed it's TRUE colors. I pulled my studio board from the case, plugged in, went to turn up the volume on my disnortion micro (it really seemed to come to life above unity) and I got a loud Pop, then crackle, then pop then signal with every movemen of the volume pot. At first I thought it was a bad solder joint. Then I noticed a very loose volume knob. Again I thought "loose solder joint" as the pots aren't affixed to the chassis, but are only affixed to the PC board (from a pedal model's perspective, a bad move, as the PC board and solder joints take any and all stress when the knobs are moved, bumped, etc.). So I go ahead and remove the knobs, rear cover etc., so I can check out the solder joint. That's when I find that all is well on that from, but it is the volume pot itself that is the issue and the ",loose" in an out wobble is the actual part of the pot that spins. So the pops are actually from the shaft of the volume pot being loose inside the pot. What I was hearing was intermittent opening and closing of the circuit from one end of the sweep to the other. I am not yelling during the next sentences or four but trying to illustrate and emphasize my point. THIS PEDAL HAS NEVER BEEN TO A GGIG. IT HAS NEVER BEEN DROPPED, KICKED, THROWN, HAD A BEER SPILLED ON IT, FLOWN OUT OF THE BACK OF MY AMP THAT FLEW OUT OF THE BACK OF A CAR, NOR BEEN SUBJECTED TO ANY KIND OF BODILY FLUIDS FROM DRUNK BIKERS. That being said, my 36 yr old Boss BF-2 has and is still working. Save your money and keep looking.

I bought this pedal loved it. Only had it for about a month and a half before the capacitors blew up and the pedal fried. Customer support was no help to getting it fixed.

I picked this up today expecting to get an aggressive distortion pedal and boy was i surprised when I actually plugged it in. This thing is a full on fuzz and distortion pedal with a HUGE variety of distortion options. I am way pleased and totally recommend this.

THIS PARTICULAR GUITAR PEDAL IS SLIGHTLY LESS RESPONSIVE THAN THE OTHER ONE I HAVE IN MY ARSENAL OF GUITAR PEDALS BUT, IT DOES MAKE THE BEST DISTORTION OF MY GUITAR PEDALS, SO, I HAVE TO GIVE IT A 9 ON A SCALE OF 1-10! I'VE ALWAYS LIKED THE PIGTRONIX LINE OF GUITAR PEDALS AND, ACCESSORIES AND, THIS NEW ONE IS JUST AS GOOD IN MY OPINION! I HAVE OVER 4 GUITAR EFFECTS BOXES AND, MORE THAN 7 GUITAR PEDALS AND, THE PIGTRONIX DISNORTION BOX/ PEDAL IS MY FAVORITE ONE BY FAR! I HAVE MINE ATTACHED TO MY HOLEYBOARD AND, IT WORKS GREAT. I WOULD HIGHER RECOMMENDED IT TO EACH ONE OF MY FRIENDS BECAUSE IT HAS A UNIQUE SOUND JUST LIKE THE OTHER ONES I BOUGHT FROM THE MUSICIANS FRIEND APP/ STORE! ONCE AGAIN, I REALLY LIKE THE PIGTRONIX DISNORTION BOX PEDAL EFFECTS PEDAL BECAUSE OF IT'S MANY FEATURES! THE SKY IS THE LIMIT WITH THE PIGTRONIX GUITAR PEDALS! KEEP JAMMING AMERICA!
