This combo bass amp has good power for its size. Peavey is known for good quality. It has DDT which helps protect the speaker. A high quality DI out is provided. Since I live in an apartment, the headphones out jack is an important feature. The Kosmos feature gives more low end without burdening the speaker more. The auxiliary out jack is nice to have. All around, it is another great bass amp in the third version of the MAX series for Peavey!!

  • Super happy. sounds great and is perfect for my needs.

Great little amp with some punch. It has some nice effects built in & they sound really cool. At 34 pounds it's very portable. The only thing I would really change is the power cable. It's about 3 foot long so I swapped it out for a 6 foot cable.

  • An incredible buy!

Very clear and powerful bass amp - plenty of low end. Additional speaker out is excellent addition. You can connect a standard passive PA speaker and run through this in a pinch. My only complaint is the Kosmos-C would be better replaced by a standard compressor. There is some compression but it also tends to increase the already booming low end. Overall - highly recommended

I haven't tried it for a gig just yet, but it works really well for practice sessions (I use both a passive upright bass and an active Fender Jazz) and I don't need any additional pedals -- the tone is great plugged straight into the active or passive inputs. I'd highly recommend it.
