Peavey 6505 II 120W Tube Guitar Amp Head Black

Description
The Peavey 6505 II 120W tube guitar amp head is a high-gain beast ready to unleash face-melting distortion. The successor to the iconic Peavey 6505, known for its crushing tone, the 6505 II provides the same legendary gain with enhanced tone shaping controls and onboard reverb. Whether shredding in your garage or melting faces on stage, this amp delivers the gain and output to cut through. Metal guitarists will rejoice at the tight, scooped tone and abundance of gain on tap from the 6505 II's four 12AX7 preamp tubes and four 6L6GC power tubes. The 6505 II is a must-have for high-gain rock and metal.
Four 12AX7 Preamp Tubes Provide High-Gain Distortion
The 6505 II's four 12AX7 preamp tubes are the source of its crushing distortion. With dedicated pre- and post-gain controls, you can dial in just the right amount of saturation and overdrive. Turn the pre-gain up for more distortion and the post-gain down for a tighter tone. This lets you achieve anything from classic hard rock crunch to full-on metal mayhem. The three-band EQ provides further tone shaping with dedicated bass, midrange and treble controls to scoop the mids and tighten the low-end.
120W of 6L6GC Power Tube Output
Four 6L6GC power tubes provide a robust 120 watts of output power, enough to cut through on even the largest of stages. Despite its high output, the 6505 II has a surprisingly responsive feel, with power tube overdrive kicking in early to provide power amp distortion at lower volumes. This highly saturated yet responsive tone is a hallmark of the 6505 line. For recording or smaller gigs, you can also switch to the 30W or 15W modes using the rear-panel power switch.
Reverb and Resonance Controls
New to the 6505 II are onboard reverb and resonance controls. The digital reverb provides a touch of ambience to add depth without muddying the tone. Adjust the level to your liking using the single reverb control. The resonance control allows you to fine-tune the tightness and body. Turn clockwise for a looser feel with more low-end or counter-clockwise for an ultra-tight tone with a more scooped midrange.
Road-Ready and Built to Last
Like all Peavey amps, the 6505 II is built to handle the rigors of the road. Its rugged steel chassis and durable tolex covering protect the components. Multiple speaker outs allow you to run the 6505 II through up to four cabinets for maximum volume and projection. With footswitchable lead/rhythm channel switching and effects loop, this amp has everything the touring guitarist needs.

Easily the best head I have ever played through. The gain is literally unstoppable. With the pre cranked all the way up the post only needs to be at like a "2-3" to be LOUD. This thing is powerful. I have it sitting on an Orange PPC412 and it's just incredible. I could not recommend anything more.
Awesome Amp
