Comments about Schecter Guitar Research S-II Platinum Electric Guitar:

Nice guitar. It feels like the ESP LTD line of guitars around this price point. But this one feels a tad better. The 24.75 neck is nice and smooth, playing old Metallica. The one piece body is so much better for the solo work... no notches to get hung up on... 24 frets help. The EMG are real nice. Hardware is nice. Right weight... on the lighter side of medium. You can practice this on your lap for hours. The locking tuners are nice... you just need to google how to use it because mine came strung up with strings on the spools. Apparently you're not supposed to wind them. Just a quarter turn or so and you should be in tune. Just youtube, lol. If you plan to play this on stage, make sure you get a grippy strap because it is top heavy from the locking tuner. Other than that, I like it. I'm keeping this one. Had to return the ESP LTD ec-401 charcoal... felt weird.

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research S-II Platinum Electric Guitar:

Pretty well made guitar with ebony fretboard and EMGs , only major complaint is the intonation adjustment screws are way to close to the bridge pickup holder. If you want to change tunings or change string gauge this is pretty annoying other than that it's a really solid instrument.

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research S-II Platinum Electric Guitar:

I absolutely love this guitar, like all other shecters... I'm a Schecter fanboy. These are the best active pickups I have played so far, I spent an hour or two looking for them stock in another guitar from all brands out there and can't find them. Great sound from cleans to squeallies like Pantera. The build quality to the smallest detail looks and feels wayyy beyond the price, especially the schecter style set neck joint. Nice low action I bought it from schecter and it came set up great. It beats the tar out of my esp ltd ec-1000 that's $900... buy this or some other schecter

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research S-II Platinum Electric Guitar:

This guitar looks great. Bust most importantly, feels and sounds great. I have a schecter damien platium with the floyd rose. I stopped playing the guitar because i dont really use the wammy and with the floyd rose, it can be a pain to tune. I bought a new rg iron series ibanez to replace the damien platinum. Did a great job of that. ONLY Complaint on ibanez is the location of the pickup switch. So i wanted to find a guitar where everything was placed nicely for my big hands and often heavy rock/metal playing. This schecter doesnt necessarily feel or play better than my ibanez. has a similar feel and sound, it just different. I couldnt say i like one more than the other. The pickups are 57/66 on schecter vs 81/60 on ibanez, so slightly different sound. As well as the neck on the schecter is slightly fatter than ibanez rg. Whether You like the skinny ibanez neck, or think its too skinny, this is the perfect medium. Schecter is also $300 less than my ibanez was. And if youre worried about the 24 fret 24.75" neck, dont be. It feels different than my other 7 guitars with 24 fret 25.5" neck. But no worse, just different. Got used it to it after about an hr.

Overall. The schecter has a good feel. Good weight. Great playability. And great sound. If you are considering buying this guitar, pull the trigger. Especially if you are tossing up between ltd and this one. Like mentioned above, feels similar to ltd, but definitely slightly better neck feel and quality. Its no gibson sg. But it has the The quality and sound youd expect from schecter, then some.

        Hope this helps!
