I have bought a couple of these in the past, and this order adds another one to my collection. The interior design is now different than the other cases I have. If you look at my previous review, the interior of the last one was red, and it had a cover over the storage compartment. This one is a silvery-gray color, the storage compartment is bigger, but there is no lid on the storage compartment. I love that they made the storage compartment larger- it can hold my strap, a VOX coil cable, tuner, etc. and still has a LOT of room left. The old version can't hold that much. The only bad part is that you have to lay the case down flat to open it, otherwise stuff will fall out of the storage compartment. If that compartment had a lid I would give it 10 stars. As I said in the other reviews, this is a heavy case, but it does have wheels on it. It fits my Kiesel (aka Carvin) CS6M perfectly.

I love this case. It's a little bit big and bulky, but that's the price you pay for protecting your most prized guitars! It's also a bit heavy, but it does have wheels. Everything about this case seems super sturdy. I've been using it for about 2 years now, and it is my favorite case. Mine looks slightly different from the photo- mine has a red interior, and a lid over the storage space.

My son got the case to use on tour. Loves it. Both for travel/air, and tour.

Love this case. You can stand on it, sleep on it, whatever and it seems to hold up. The latches feel very nice and work smoothly. The interior foam is firm. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that the tuners touch the foam. This would allow flexing in the case to go straight to the headstock. I called SKB and they had me dent the foam in so they didn't touch anymore. This worked for 3 of my 4 Les Pauls but my robot still doesn't fit.

  • Rock-solid protection for your instrument!!!

We've got 3 of these for our band now and they are hands-down the best cases we've ever used! Solid feel and great clasps. Edge of the case is molded in metal and has a great fit when closed, even after being sat on, slept on, dropped, thrown... We've had ours for a couple of years of weekly gigging and they've held up: A great value for the money! The plastic outside doesn't peal like the regular case that come with an LP. The SKB cases are stackable which is a touch to keep them secure in transit and during load-in. Won't take a sticker (outside too rough) but stencil's are cooler anyway, right!?!
