collapse expand iconDescription

The F-2512CE Deluxe from Guild is a premium 12-string acoustic-electric guitar that provides a robust tone and impressive projection. Designed for performing and recording, this jumbo guitar features a solid spruce top with flamed maple back and sides, as well as a cutaway for easy access to higher frets. The onboard Fishman GT-1 preamp system gives you control over your tone with volume and EQ adjustments.

Unprecedented Tonal Control With the Stage Pickup System

The F-2512CE Deluxe's Stage Pickup System, developed with Fishman, provides volume, EQ and body blend controls so you can shape your tone for any musical situation. The EQ control adds or reduces midrange frequencies for an open, airy tone or a more neutral sound. The body blend control adjusts the level of the under-saddle pickup versus the body sensor for a dynamically rich tone or a crisp, cutting tone. Powered by a 9V battery, this pickup system offers a range of tones for performing and recording.

Resonant Tonewoods Produce a Natural Acoustic Sound

The F-2512CE Deluxe's solid Sitka spruce top and flamed maple back and sides, combined with its jumbo body and arched back, generate robust projection and sustain.

A Neck Designed for Comfort

Guild designed the F-2512CE Deluxe's neck to be comfortable for players transitioning from steel-string guitars, with a 48 mm nut width and 16" fretboard radius. The cutaway provides easy access beyond the 10th fret, appealing to those with smaller hands or looking to explore the upper register of the guitar.

Premium Appointments

Appointments like a mother-of-pearl rosette, pau ferro fingerboard and Guild Peak headstock logo give the F-2512CE Deluxe a stylish look.

A great sounding investment

I'd been planning on picking up a 12 string acoustic guitar to add to my arsenal when I discovered this beauty. When I found out that the Guitar Center in Rockford had this model, I thought "why not" and popped in to take a road test. They brought the guitar out, still new in the box. I was immediately impressed with the finish quality, and wood. The back had a nice flame maple, while the solid top showed good grain. An attractive sunburst finish too. I spent maybe a half hour going through different songs and neck positions to find out just how well it played and sounded. The guitar has a good full voice with nice sustain. Intonation is good. Action is fine though if you need to make an adjustment there's a truss rod tool included for those who know how to do it correctly. Note: if you're not familiar or comfortable with these adjustments, I seriously encourage you not to do it yourself, and instead take it to a professional guitar tech and have it done right. The neck has a comfortable feel. I can play for a time without my hand getting cramped. Plugged in, the guitar sounds fine too. Make sure to try this out with a good amp. Discreet volume and tone controls just inside the sound hole help to keep the body clean of knobs. Straight acoustic or plugged in, this guitar sounds great. The guitar does have a cutaway. I don't imagine playing that far up the neck on a 12 string, but it's there and at the very least it looks good. I mentioned earlier about the intonation. There are saddles made specifically for this type of guitar due to the intonation differences in the pairs of strings. While I was pleased with the sound, I may upgrade to that type of saddle in the future. Something to consider for any 12 string guitar. For value, I'd say that you could spend more, but perhaps not get much more value in quality and sound. Unless you really need to have the top end, I'd say save your money. On the flip side, I'd avoid the lower end 12 strings if you can help it due to quality issues. I've had this guitar for about a month now and played it most every day. It's stayed in tune relatively well in standard pitch, even with the midwest humidity and temperature swings that we've had recently. No busted strings or other issues that I can think of. Bottom line: If you're looking for a mid to upper priced jumbo acoustic electric 12 string guitar with a full voice, decent sustain, and consistent build quality, this is probably the best bang for the buck. #sweepstakes

Be careful buying a guitar from Guitar Center

For months I enjoyed playing others' F-2512CE Deluxe 12-String Cutaway Jumbo Acoustic-Electric Guitar. I finally ordered one of my own. When unboxing at the GC store, the electronics inside the body had come unglued and were rattling about. A small problem, but I wondered how long it had been boxed for the strong glue to become dried out. Secondarily, after tuning, there was a slight buzzing sound, which seemed to be related to the neck action. It was much higher than others I'd played. I asked GC to fix it and was told that it would cost me an additional $100 to adjust the neck. Although I loved the guitar and thought it had a great sound (and, after adjustment, great neck action), I decided to return it. Since it is a box store, GC personnel seemingly couldn't care less. Also, when dealing with their technician, I overheard him say "This is one of those Guild guitar problems" (meaning needing to adjust the neck I suppose). IF you buy, ask about the 'setup' beforehand. It would have negated the sales price for which I'd been waiting.

I bought this guitar and upon receiving it i noticed the quality. It felt super high quality and clean. It came untuned as expected but after tuning it sounded amazing and gave a nice crisp sound and feel. The C neck is super comfortable in my palm and tuning was super easy to do. Would highly recommend as a gift for intermediate players.

This guitar looks and sounds beautiful. The neck needs no adjustment, the action is very good, and it stays in tune. Although 12-string guitars are more difficult to play, this guitar has a comfortable neck and is easier to play than many 12-string guitars.

Wonderful sound, great solid top, beautiful fit and finish. For a 12 string, the action is low and easy to play. Very full, crisp sound, like a waterfall.

I went from a Tammie G-30 series to this and I can say this confidently that the acoustic sound of this guitar is superior. This is probably due to the fact that this guitar doesn't have a big cut out for the preamp. One thing that surprised me about this guitar was that the back of the fretboard has a matte finish which makes sliding your hand up and down easier than most guitars that have a glossy finish or wood finish which creates friction.

I bought this guitar over the weekend and no words. Nicest sounding and best guitar I've ever owned. I was curious if there might be a case for this one? It's a wide body hard to find.
