The New ADAM Audio A Series Studio Monitors | Model Reveal

Introducing the A Series | Full Model Overview | ADAM Audio

Description
ADAM Audio's A4V 4" 2-way powered studio monitor delivers accurate, full-bodied sound for small studio spaces and control rooms. The A4V incorporates a 4" long-throw woofer and ADAM Audio's legendary X-ART folded-ribbon tweeter for clear highs and impressive low end. Onboard controls provide room adaptation to suit any environment.
Superior Sound Quality
The A4V's 4" woofer is constructed from ADAM Audio's Multi-Layer Mineral fiber composite, which eliminates partial vibrations for tight, distortion-free bass. Paired with the X-ART tweeter, the A4V achieves a wide 58Hz-41kHz frequency range ideal for mixing and mastering. Select "Pure" mode for neutral accuracy or "UNR" for a dynamic, musical tone.
Precision You Can Trust
ADAM Audio has been an industry leader in professional studio monitors for over 20 years. The A4V continues this tradition with premium driver components for the woofer and precise response for the tweeter, delivering high SPLs and ultralow frequency response. The X-ART tweeter's folded diaphragm provides wide dispersion and detail. Onboard DSP and a rotatable waveguide let you optimize the A4V for any placement.
Tailored for Your Environment
The A4V's rear-panel controls provide room adaptation to address common issues like bass buildup from nearby walls. Selectable voicings let you choose between a neutral "Pure" setting ideal for mixing or a dynamic "UNR" mode for a musical tone. The A4V can also integrate with Sonarworks Reference 4 software for automated calibration and the most accurate monitoring possible.
Compact Yet Capable
While remarkably compact, the A4V delivers the power and precision of much larger monitors. It fits anywhere, from desktops to wall wall or ceiling installation. Despite its size, the A4V renders an expansive soundstage for immersive listening. Connect via balanced XLR, unbalanced RCA or Ethernet to integrate the A4V into larger systems.

Best Studio Monitors I've Ever Owned
submitted3 years ago

fromNew York, NY
The A4Vs are perfect for my home studio set-up.I originally owned a pair of JBL 305s as studio/DJ monitors and I desperately needed an upgrade. I was debating between adam audio A4Vs and yamaha HS5s, but the HS5s didn't have the the full frequency range and balance like the A4Vs did. The bass is very tight on the A4Vs. I was scared investing in a 4-inch monitor because of the lack of bass, like the HS5s, but the A4Vs can sustain up to 52 Hz which is totally fine for my studio purposes. The tweeter is super clean, the clarity is amazing! Don't let the size fool you, these monitors can push a very good amount before distorting. The parameters on the back panel are probably the best I've ever used/seen on a studio monitor. It allows for full sonic transparency, so even with a poorly treated room you won't get an inaccurate mix. Use the "Pure" setting when mixing and the "URI" setting for when you're listening to music for fun. If you're looking to invest in these I would say go for it because there really isn't a small studio monitor, within this price range at least, that can improve the way you perceive your mixes/recordings. If you have the recording space and want more bass then go for the A7Vs, which are now the successors of the AX7s.
