It was a little tricky figuring out if this is exactly what I needed or not. I got it as a replacement post mount for the top of my sub. I have to modify slightly but it will do what I need it to.

  • steel vs. plastic. a no brainer.

after having a failure of the cheesy plastic stand mounts in my speakers I purchased these. They were a snap to install, and do the job well. I no longer worry about ruining a speaker due to the failure of cheap plastic mounts. what you pay for these mounts is nothing compared to the price of a new speaker. I recommend these if you have plastic mounts.

I mounted these adapters into speakers with a pre-drilled hole in the bottom. They slid right in with no problem, and the speakers fit snugly on the stands. Downside: There is no way to tighten the speakers to the stands. I understand the way they are made, however, and that is a very minor problem. When mounted, the adapters rest flush against the bottom of the speaker, higher than the rubber feet, so that the speakers can sit with stability on the floor. Like I said, a very minor problem!
