I've been using the Circuit Rhythm for capturing samples and creating beats. I really like the rechargeable battery because so I can make compositions anywhere I want. The sampling process is easy and it's been very quick to create lots of beats. I really like the ability to turn samples into notes quickly and easily. The grid fx are fun to manipulate the song and input audio.
I think it is a TOY

I think if you want to spend a lot of time in post production boosting the sound it might be OK at best.I bought it and the got an Akai MPC one. Huge difference. If your on a budget buy a groove box from Roland or Korg or buy the Bass station and use software for the beats/pads.
Best groovebox you can buy at that price

Super fun and easy to use but deep enough to last you years. I have a Deluge, an MPC, and a 707 and the Rhythm is my couch sketch pad, I probably use it more than any of the above just because it's so quick to get ideas down on it. The build, pads, and knobs all feel high quality and I love that it has a battery. I'll never sell mine.
I love Novation but they dropped the ball on this one.

First off I love Novation.I lived in London and I see them like The Moog of the UK. This is not a great groovebox. Its a plastic toy with a weak sound engine.I will buy the Akai MPC one .If I want a toy Ill go to a toy store.
