This mount is holding a Shure SM58-style dynamic mic in a broadcast studio setting. It simply works. I'm very pleased with the construction - the spring clip makes it easy to insert and remove the mic even when the cable is attached. Its a great value for the money. I would buy this product again and again for similar applications.

This shockmount is excellent for what I needed and I can easily recommend it. It will fit many a pencil condenser mic and I personally used it with a Shure SM57 mic on my snare drum. I have the claw mic mount attached to a cymbal stand with this shockmount and the SM57 over my snare drum. There is vibration and cross talk a plenty with a drum set that needs to be isolated by a shockmount and now I also enjoy not having to attach the mic directly to my snare drum so I can easily switch out snares, but always have my mic in place. Big butterfly clip in the middle grasps the mic and that clip is isolated in the mount. The bands that make up the shockmount are on the left and right sides, the clip is below and there is nothing on top. I would have liked to see some sort of impact protection on the top of this mount, but thankfully with an SM57 I know it'll take a beating. Besides that, no complaints.

I picked this up to eliminate vibration noise on a loive stage platform. It did the job, but was difficult to get the mic in and out of it. It's well made, does what it's supposed to do.
Microphone Shock Mount

This is a quality aftermarket alternative to many of the over-priced shock mounts available from the microphone manufacturers. All threaded fittings are metal and can be tightened down without fear of stripping. This isn't a cheaply made product. Do your equipment budget a favor and consider these mounts before investing in the higher priced name brands.
