Mitchell

Description

The Mitchell T231CE dreadnought acoustic-electric guitar makes a bold statement. Featuring high-quality components, the T231CE delivers a combination of rich tone, superior playability and modern electronics for musicians of all skill levels. The all-mahogany body, including top, back and sides, provides a warm resonant tone. The cutaway design and slim mahogany neck offer comfortable access to higher frets.

Advanced Electronics With Built-in Tuner

The T231CE's preamp system makes it easy to amplify your acoustic tone. With bass, mid and treble controls, you can shape your tone to suit any musical style. An onboard tuner ensures you're in tune before stepping onstage. The under-saddle piezo pickup accurately captures the T231CE's natural acoustic resonance for an authentic plugged-in sound.

All-Mahogany Body Resonates With Rich Tone

The T231CE's all-mahogany body, including top, back and sides, produces a warm, balanced tone with clear lows, rich midrange and crisp highs. Forward-shifted scalloped X-bracing optimizes the mahogany top's tonal potential, increasing resonance and projection. The open-pore finish enhances the mahogany's natural beauty while allowing it to vibrate freely for the best possible tone.

Cutaway Provides Easy Upper Fret Access

The single cutaway gives you access to higher frets with comfort. Whether you're playing chords, solos or lead lines, the cutaway design makes it easy to navigate the upper registers of the fingerboard. The cutaway is particularly useful for players with smaller hands or those still developing advanced techniques.

Slim Neck Promotes Superior Playability

The T231CE's slim mahogany neck offers an easy-to-play profile for musicians at any level. Its 43 mm nut width and medium jumbo frets provide a familiar feel for most players. A 16" radius and C-shaped profile create an ideal combination of comfort and control. The T231CE's premium setup and lightweight, balanced body result in an acoustic that plays as good as it sounds.

Gorgeous guitar. Came with D'Addario premium strings and sounds awesome with great sustain and intonation. I belive it also has a Nubone XB nut and saddle. There are no sharp frets, no fret spouts. Having the on board tuner is super nice. Tuners keep the guitar in tune. I had to make one minor truss rod adjustment.

Frets are sharp and need to be filed down. Tuning was out of whack. Brought it to Guitar Center and they used L wrench to adjust it.

  • Very solid for the price of $105 on sale.

Plugged in it sounds really nice, unplugged it has a lighter tone, definitely accentuates each note very well. Comes with nice strings on it, the preamp works as it should, looks great, fretboard feels real nice. On sale I definitely recommend this guitar for anyone in that beginner to intermediate stage. You will have to adjust the action using the included truss rod if you're someone who does more than just chords though. Overall a really solid guitar.

The guitar looks and feels great, but after a few months of owning it the top started to warp around the bridge causing a buzz on the low e string. If you want to buy this I recommend also buying a guitar humidifier to prevent this issue. I have seen the same issue on other Mitchell guitars while going to guitar center.
