Outstanding sound, play-ability, and values
I tried out a bunch of acoustic guitars over the course of a three hour visit. Ibanez, Martins, Guilds, Yamahas. I needed something to accompany a poet for a spoken word performance, and I was a bit frustrated by trying to find a value priced instrument that would get the job done. I didn't have many dollars to spend. After wistfully playing a Martin that was out of my price range, I saw this guitar. WTPH is a Mitchell? Never heard of it. "Give the poor thing a chance." I liked the price tag at first sight. Then I played it. It played as well as the Martin I had just been pining over. The intonation was on. The action was low and wicked like I like it. It sounded good. I asked to be plugged in. The associate was kind and indulgent enough to appease me. The electronics sounded good. Do they all play this well, or did the store tweak this one? In any case. I bonded with this guitar. It's guitar love, for sure. A barre chord F major is as easy as can be. It has nice sustain. It did a great job at the show. It looks atypical—much like me—but now I think it's a real beauty. If they all play like this one, you should make it your first guitar. It will be easy on your fingers and increase the likelihood that you will keep playing. I cannot put this thing down. It's like we are welded together.

Nice aesthetics, but poor quality of material
I liked the white color as I never had a white acoustic/electric guitar. I got it at the store as I wanted to buy a guitar under a hundred and it fit the bill. It sounded good acoustic and in electric when I plugged it in at the store. I looked at it thoroughly and the guitar was spotless. I left in one of my cases and placed it in a closet with my other guitars. When I played it the next day, there was a bubbled at the edge of the guitar at the front part near the sound hole at the bottom, I touched to feel it and the paint crumbled and bubbles up more and had a quarter size deformity. I was debating if I want to keep it and have it repaired or exchange . Ended up deciding to exchange it at the store for the same color. Got to the GC in San Mateo, CA and there was nothing in. Stock, they have to order it in a store in the east coast but as an open box, o don't want an open box. So they offered the black color but I don't want the black. The. I saw the blue but it is back order to February and I don't want to wait until February. So decided to return it. Too bad the paint material is bad. I really would like to have kept it but the bubbles up part that peeled was irritating me when I look at it. So it got returned and I ended up buying a recording king acoustic electric around the same price after I returned it.

Very nice guitar. Plays nice and craftsmanship is apparent. Color doesn't look like photos, a bit darker and not quite as blue. Finish is good, but poor prep before paint shows through. Someone sanded bare wood across the grain and it shows. Overall I'd recommend this Mitchell.

I bought the blue model for my wife's birthday. She loves it! Excellent tone, easy to play for a beginner. Built in tuner is a nice plus. Sounds great when plugged in to an amp. Great value for the price. Highly recommended!
I would buy this guitar again

Guitar color is much lighter than shown, more a medium gray. The black pick guard is much darker than the Guitar. I bought it on sale 50% off,ok quality but would not pay full price.
Great guitar for the money

A lot of value, especially at the discounted sale price. Handsome design. But... Where is the quality control? Sharp fret ends, action set waayyy to low. major fret buzzing. several of the tuners were sticking. Rough edges on wooden bridge, strings are "rough" and lifeless. Pre-amp works well, but the tuner is inconsistent. Fretboard wood was really dry... did they store it dry storage? If you are willing to invest some time and effort like I did, filing the fret ends, raising the bridge, conditioning the wood, etc. it can serve as a first beginner guitar or a beater that I wanted. I'm no expert, but one can't expect a novice to take care of these issues. Getting a luthier to fix things properly, and you've doubled the price of the guitar. I've been spoiled. My other 4 guitars are medium to entry-level Yamahas, and none had these type of issues. BTW. the finish is not black, it is a charcoal grey and is distinctive. The neck is easy to play, but the sound and resonance is typical for a thin-bodied guitar. But, with a built-in tuner pre-amp, it's a decent value.

Does the Mitchell O120CEWPM Auditorium Acoustic Guitar have a truss rod, and if so, how is it adjusted? (Is it accessible at the base of the neck through the sound hole?) I ask because the listing doesn't seem to mention of it, and I don't see any plate or hole at the headstock. Thanks!
