I went to the Whitehall, PA Guitar Center on 09/01/17 to look at the Ibanez slim body AEG acoustic electric 12 string, the Martin 12 string and the Taylor 12 string. Then the sales associate showed me the Mitchell. It was on sale and well played because the strings were dead but the tone from this instrument was still like a chorus of angels singing. Hands down this guitar sounded better to me than any of the others I went to try. This guitar has a spruce top and I believe it has a solid mahogany back and sides. When you play it you can feel the top and back resonate with deep rich tones. The highs are phenomenal and the mid range and base tones are rich and luxurious. The nice folks at guitar center included a set of Martin SP phosphor bronze strings which make my new guitar sing. Great purchase, great service and great sound. Thank you Mike and Jon at Whitehall Guitar Center!

Fantastic guitar

Comments about Mitchell D120S12E 12-String Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

Just went to guitar center to see how his guitar played, and I'm in awe. It played beautifully, just enough low tones but also just enough twang. Compared to the taylor 12 string they had in stock for double the price this was the better guitar hands down.

Comments about Mitchell D120S12E 12-String Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I went to my local Guitar Center looking to get a semi hollow electric. I looked at and played with an Epiphone dot and an Ibenez hollow body. I was torn between the two. Both had good tone and played great. I went into the Acoustic section to think it over and this guitar caught my eye. I was not looking to get a 12 string guitar but once I played this Mitchell.....MY GOD....It just sounded so great, Played so effortlessly,,,,I could not get enough of that tone. I tried some 6 string acoustics in my price range (300-400 dollars tops I promised myself). None of the Fenders, Ibenez, or Yamahas could match this suckers stunning tone. Do yourself a favor and pick one up before they jack the price up on these gems.

Comments about Mitchell D120S12E 12-String Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I bought this beast yesterday at the Knoxville Tennessee store. Someone had caught the bottom edge of the front face of the guitar below the pick guard.and the top coat has a shatter effect look at that spot but it's not noticeable unless you point it out. Anywho, Karl the store manager took great care of me and knocked off a Benjamin. This guitar is awesome I also have a 12 Martin and the Mitchell is more tenor but sounds like angels singing! Unbelievable sustain it's a cannon! You won't regret it! Karl, Don, John!! Thank you guys!

I am a guitar and bass guitar hobbyist. I play along with music and do some very amateurish recording. This guitar is perfect for my needs. Got it at a very good price also was the only missing piece in my set of guitars.

Comments about Mitchell D120S12E 12-String Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I was originally looking for a 12-string guitar or around six to seven hundred dollars. I played this Mitchell at a Guitar Center, and thought it played really well for the price. After bringing it home, I didn't really care for the action with the strings that came on the guitar. It was tuned to D, and was a bit rough to play. I put some D'addario lights on it, and now really enjoy this guitar. It Tuned easily to E, is easy to play, and lots of fun. I'm really happy with my purchase.
