The Subway TT-800 from MESA/Boogie brings the iconic punch and power of the all-tube Bass 400+ to the Subway series. This distinctive combination creates a powerful, portable package that highlights the unique personalities of both. Two separate channels in a dual mono configuration feed the Subway TT-800s muscular, articulate 800-watt Class-D power section. A tube-driven preamp allows bassists to experience the rich, blooming character of the legendary Bass 400+ in the Boogie channel or more modern tone in the Subway channel.

These channels can be alternately used with one instrument for different tones, or dedicated to separate instruments with their own character and needs. A patch-point style effects loop design also allows for independent processing for each channel/instrument or to substitute an external preamp for one of the switchable channels.

Not that it's really a comparison, but my Ampeg SVT-CL blows this thing out of the water. The preamp tubes peak at half volume and gain and make the tone muddy. I like the versatility over my Ampeg and the compactness, but just not overwhelmed for the price.

The TT800 really fit all my needs I've ever needed in an amp. With having multiple DI-outs that are colored by preamp tubes, and 2-channels, I swapped out the old tube amp for something more compact and didn't feel like I sacrificed anything #sweepstakes

  • I would buy this again and again.

I use this amplifier on a 1000 watt cabinet in my home. The manual is easy to understand. What I love most is the ohm selection.
