Description

The Meinl Ibo Drum combines innovation with tradition. Its made from durable fiberglass which makes it nearly unbreakable. An additional microphone hole has been built into the shell and it has a foam padded base for comfortable placement of the drum. It also has an additional rawhide playing surface and an extra-thin bottom for enhanced sound. 11"W x 15-1/4"H.

    Dropped on a concrete floor (it bounced several times) and it barely had a chip in the exterior finish! After that, still sounds great! Recorded with it - listen to Ted Yoder's album "Feels Like Home" for examples on several tracks. This thing is durable for gigging and sensitive for recording AND affordable!!

    There couldn't be much better with this instrument. Meinl has not ceased to amaze me with the quality of their products, and the Ibo is no exception. It has so many sounds, so many surfaces, and has a vocal quality all its own.I would recommend this instrument to anyone; you would not be disappointed!
