Whether you want to create music on the go or if you're ready to lay down tracks, the M-Audio Oxygen Pro Mini is flexible enough to handle your workflow.

Seamless DAW & Performance Control With Auto-Mapping

The Oxygen Pro Mini controller is easy to use with any DAW using automatically mapped controls such as Transport, Faders, Channel controls (Record Arm, Solo, Mute and Select), Pan controls and more. Whether you use Ableton, Pro Tools, MPC Beats, Cubase, Logic, Studio One or any other major DAW, just select the DAW of your choice in the Oxygen Pro Mini and then select the correct configuration in your DAW. The Oxygen Pro Mini’s controls will then be completely integrated into your DAW. It also instantly maps to all the virtual instruments included with the Oxygen Pro Mini (Velvet, Mini Grand, Vacuum, Boom, DB33, Xpand!2). These world-class Air Music Tech plug-ins can then be fully controlled and used in real time as you create and mix your music.

Smart Controls

With Smart Chord and Smart Scale technology, creating music and transferring what’s in your imagination to what comes out of your computer is uncomplicated. Want to play a chord? With Smart Chord, each key or pad acts as the root note, offering you up a full chord. The rest of the chord’s properties (Major, Minor and Voicing — 1,3,5; 1,3,5,7, etc.) are determined by the settings you choose. Smart Chord also has a Custom Mode which lets you determine the chord structure that will be assigned to each key by manually playing it. For example, if you select Custom Mode, and play a 1-b3-5-b7 chord, every key will then be assigned to play this chord structure. The note of the key you press will serve as the root of the chord, and all of the parameters can be edited right on the Oxygen Pro Mini.

With Smart Scale, you can set the keybed so that only notes in the selected scale are able to be played. Perfect for fast pieces or if you're not an accomplished piano player, it allows you to play within a chosen scale without the risk of playing any “wrong” notes. Choose from 16 different scale variations when assigning a scale to the keyboard. Smart Scale is easy to activate and deactivate and allows you to set the scale parameters you need to keep you focused on creating.

Professional Producer Features

The Oxygen Pro Mini comes with Note Repeat and a built-in arpeggiator to open up a world of precise music production and live sound techniques essential to creating modern day pop, electronic, hip-hop and dance music. With Note Repeat, hold down any of the custom-made M-Audio performance pads, and you’ll hear a repeated rhythmic pattern at a selectable note division. It can be activated momentarily or can be used in Latch mode. With Momentary, holding the Note Repeat button makes the note automatically repeat, and in Latch mode, the assigned note will repeat without you having to hold down the Note. 

Use the built-in arpeggiator on any virtual instrument in your DAW for an inspiring sequence, with the timing and rhythm based on the keyboard’s time division setting and either the keyboard’s or your DAW’s tempo setting. This powerful tool can also operate in Latch or Momentary mode, making it easy to unleash your creativity.

      The keys stick on this making it UNUSABLE as a midi controller. The whole unit feels cheap and plastic-y. Horrible customer service too.

      I've had the Oxygen Pro Mini for a couple of weeks now and I have the same problem as another reviewer. Two of the keys cut out after a couple of seconds. Also, the lack of backlighting on the buttons make it difficult to use in low light. It generally fees cheap compared to my Akai.

      I had two bad white keys on my new oxygen pro mini. one cuts out every time after .3-.5 sec and the other one is just extremely sensitive and cuts out with just the slightest decrease in pressure. the black keys have a lot of side-to-side wobble and do not feel sturdy. Not impressed.

      It won't work with all DAWs but it will work with the most popular ones. Garageband and FL studio will work.
