I took a chance and ordered this one because of the unbelievable price. Couldn't be happier with what I got. The neck is straight, the design is cool, and it plays just fine. Really good bargain. Fit and finish is really impressive for a bass of this price.
They have changed the hardware on the later models. As you can see in my picture, the bridge is no longer high mass, and all of the hardware is flat black, not black chrome. I am totally fine with these changes, as it is still functional and didn't change the look that much.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I really liked the woodwork and the grain of body wood. There are a few things that could be improved, There is no sweep in the volume control, it goes from nothing to full volume by barely moving the Volume knob. From the reviews that I read, I purchased a set of Fender MIM Pickups and a American pre-wired wiring harness with CTS Pots, .047 "orange drop Cap. with SwitchCraft input jack before the Luna Bass arrived, waiting to be installed. There was some contact with Guitar Ctr. in regards the availability of the Bass, which was worked out. I feel that it's a decent quality Bass for the money.

Great little bass for the price. Well-made, and the design is beautiful. Only problem is the neck needed a slight adjustment, but pretty much any guitar that's been shipped is going to have that problem. Good sound, although I may eventually swap out for better pick-ups. The factory ones are more than adequate for most purposes.
