I purchased this pedal for my church due to a tight budget. When it arrived, I tested it and noticed some thing that I loved: -Pedal is fast -smooth -lightweight -adjustable This pedal has been used lightly 2 days a week for under two moths. Just yesterday the pedal spring snapped in the middle of rehearsal under moderate tension. Thinking it would be an easy fix, I bought a new spring without realizing that the spring needed is EXTREMELY SPECIFIC. You cannot simply replace the spring due to its uniquely large and long hooks, with the bottom of the spring riveted to the lower part of the mechanism, which means you have to buy an entire new spring mechanism! On top of that, literally NO ONE, online or in store, sells that particular replacement spring mechanism. I'm having to contact Ludwig directly to see if they can even send me the part. BOTTOM LINE: The pedal feels great and looks great, however some of the components are unreliable and very hard to get a hold of. For something that is being used for many years to come, I would go with another pedal that has more durability and easily-accessible replacement parts.
