great pitch pipe!

this is a great pitch pipe because you can always tell if you are sharp or flat (if you play the pipe and then strum the string) i use this more than my boss TU80 tuner its great!

These Pipes Do Not Work

I've become too reliant on electronic tuners. They're fast, accurate, and ensure standard tuning. I want the convenience, but I also want to improve my ear and my relationship to the guitar. These pipes appeared to be a good solution. They are not. Each pipe is about a halfstep down from standard tuning. This might not be terrible by itself, but they are not exactly a halfstep down. Each is noticeably off. Maybe the high reviewers had good pipes. I wish I could say the same. My set of pipes are completely useless.

It works, when you don't have a tuner comes in handy.

  • I would buy this again

Had an electronic tuner, what a hassle that was! hard to clip on the guitar, hard to see... This tuner is easy to hold in your mouth while fine tuning, no looking for numbers or letter scale, no dead batteries, costs less and is very sturdy. Last set of pitch pipes I owned lasted for years without any problem. Don't trust the electronic ones, they fail when wet, batteries need replacing, awkward to use.

The first one I received had a broken case and "G" didn't work. The replacement had a smashed case and "E" didn't work. Must be China junk. Is there a lower rating than one star
