collapse expand iconDescription

Ibanez builds guitars for all levels of players—from beginners to the most demanding masters of the instrument. Regardless of price, Ibanez always strives to offer the absolute best sound, style and playability in its class. It’s this mindset that has earned the GRX70QA its place as the one of the most popular start-up guitars of all time, responsible for launching numerous musical careers around the world.

The GRX70QA GIO matches classic good looks with the Ibanez eye for detail. Its poplar body is adorned with a handsome quilted maple "Art Grain" top paired with a maple neck and jatoba fingerboard with white dot inlays. High-output Infinity R humbucker pickups provide delicious driven tone, courtesy of a 5-way selector switch that provides access to whatever tonal palette you need. A FAT-6 tremolo rounds out your stylistic weaponry.

I'm a late starter in the guitar world. Wanted to start learning guitar, read a lot of good feedback on Ibanez, some of my favorite guitarists use Ibanez, and my guitarist brother recommended Ibanez as one of his favorites, so this seemed like a good choice. It looks great, the weight and feel is solid but comfortable to play, and it's a solid guitar for the price as far as I can tell as someone just starting out. I've played around with more expensive guitars and - ignorance aside - this seems to do everything I'd need it to without all the bells and whistles. If I progress to a point to where it makes sense to upgrade, that day can come, but for the time being, this is a very playable guitar that looks and feels great at an extremely reasonable price.

  • I would buy this product again.

this guitar strikes a great balance between quality and price. amazing if this if your first guitar or don't want to spend to much. my only problem is the high e string doesn't stay in tune very well. besides that its comfortable, very dynamic because of the HSH pickups, and sounds very good for the price

  • For the price, you get a lot

My only gripe was the frets weren't filed down. Other than that, it was easy to set up, a lot of different sounds with the H-S-H 3 pick-ups configuration. Very comfortable to play.

I own the red in this, had to get use to the flat 42mm nut short small feel of a guitar but am loving it, great tone unplugged, can play many music types and great for all the family no matter age and the best quality!!! Special thanks to Nathan, management at Greensboro, NC Guitar Center for making this possible!!!

This is a really good starter guitar it's really cool that there are 2 humbuckers and one single coil I just wish that I could connect the humbuckers but the single coil is in the middle so I can't but other than that this is a amazing guitar would recommend to other people.

It would be good Radius: 15.75 in. Nut width: 1.656 in. (42 mm). It's a relatively narrow width and Ibanez is known for slim necks.
