Ibanez

collapse expand iconDescription

The Ibanez GIO GRG121SP delivers high performance at an affordable price. With decades of innovation behind its design, the GRG121SP combines speed, strength and style in a precision instrument perfect for shredding. Its comfortably contoured poplar body and two Classic Elite humbucking pickups provide plenty of bark and bite. The fast roasted maple neck and jatoba fingerboard facilitate effortless solos and riffs. For maximum tuning stability, Ibanez equipped the GRG121SP with an F106 fixed bridge. Now, rockers on a budget can hit the stage with an iconic Ibanez RG, thanks to the wallet-friendly GIO series.

Roasted Maple Neck for Fast Fretting

The GRG121SP's heat-treated roasted maple neck offers a smooth playing experience. Its curved fretboard edges maximize comfort while shredding at high speeds. The jatoba fingerboard produces a rich midrange and crisp high end, ideal for rocking rhythms and solos.

Dual Humbuckers Deliver Fat Tone

Ibanez Classic Elite humbucking pickups provide the GRG121SP a full range of tones with a fat low end. Five-way switching gives players a variety of pickup combinations to suit any musical style. From hard rock to blues, these pickups can handle it all.

Hardtail Bridge for Rock-Solid Intonation

The GRG121SP features an F106 fixed bridge for enhanced sustain and reliable tuning. Unlike a tremolo bridge, its hardtail design minimizes string slippage and tuning issues caused by heavy playing styles. Guitarists can adjust string height quickly and independently for optimal playability.

Chameleon Finish Makes a Statement

A matching chameleon headstock and body finish give the GRG121SP a flashy appearance that grabs attention. As the guitar is moved, the finish shifts between hues of blue, green and violet. Combined with its contoured shape and white dot inlays, the GRG121SP makes a bold visual statement worthy of the rock stage.

This guitar can get a variety of tones. Jazz or metal you name it. Lightweight allowing you to do a lot of things with it. If you choose the right pair of strings the guitar will have a smooth feel to it. One thing though, it gets out of tune if you bend too much.

I recently purchased this guitar and I'm learning how to play again. It definitely looks more expensive than what it is. Paired with the fender mustang amp, it sounds amazing! Showed some people at work and they said it looks so good. Definitely can't wait to really crank this up!

  • By far one of the best bang for buck guitars out there!

This Gio speaks for itself. Roasted maple neck with stainless frets?! That just does not happen very often especially at this price range. The pictures online do not do it justice. I've owned this guitar since the day they dropped and I constantly get comments on the finish! 10/10

I love this guitar. I have short fingers and the fret size makes it easier to play chords and scales.
