Not What I expect from Hohner

I play along with my guitar. Mostly campfire songs and group sing alongs. Have always liked Hohner and thought little of the high price, but found the quality of this harmonica to be like a kid's toy made overseas. Reeds not fully functional. Returned it the same day and ordered a Suzuki. Much better quality about half the price.
Full Rich Sound

The Hohner 2504/40 Comet is a typical octave harp with the very full rich sound that comes from such an instrument. It is played much like any standard 10 hole diatonic harp which is a big plus to a beginner like me. Of course each note is actually a pair of notes one octave apart which giver the very rich full sound. I use mine as something of a specialty instrument on songs where the rich sound that really stands out is an advantage over a standard instrument. One thing to note is that octave harps do require more air whether blowing or drawing and, although that is not difficult to do, it does take a little getting used to.
