The small Heil SB-2 mcirphone boom is perfect for interview microphone positions or small spaces where the PL-2T overhead boom doesn't fit. The boom's stem threads easily onto any standard stand or mount. A cable management clip is molded to the side of the boom to keep the cable out of your way. Heil C-clamp with brass insert included.

    Works perfectly for my college son's in-closet vocal recording booth. Only drawback is it only pivots in 2 of 3 ways (when the book is extended TOWARDS you, there is no way to adjust the mic angle at certian heights--that can be an issue in a small tight closet space. Otherwise, this boom are is very well manufactured and works great.

    Sure, the mic makes no difference to a stand. Yes you will need a clip.
